Building on a proven record of creating employment for over 5500 youth, CAPACITI, a leading non-profit in digital skills development, is excited to announce the launch of its Tech Career Accelerator in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.  

Through CAPACITI’s unique and highly successful development model, Eastern Cape youth will now have access to cutting-edge digital skills training within their communities, while businesses benefit from streamlined recruitment, enhanced efficiency, and a local pool of highly skilled professionals. For over a decade, CAPACITI has implemented this model nationwide, effectively addressing South Africa’s digital skills gap and building sustainable talent pipelines.

By 2050, young Africans are expected to comprise over one-third of the global youth population, driving an urgent need for new jobs. CAPACITI is addressing this by equipping graduates with technical and professional development, ensuring they are job-ready and can thrive in a rapidly evolving digital economy.

Strategic Partnerships: Key to Driving Success 

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality and Propella Business Incubator recognised that collaborating with CAPACITI will drive regional economic growth. With support from the National Treasury’s Jobs Fund, CAPACITI is expanding to underserved communities and meeting the rising demand for training digital talent. Local businesses are invited to partner with CAPACITI to cultivate their workforce via a demand-driven talent pipeline. By collaborating, employers can shape training curricula to ensure graduates meet specific industry requirements and are equipped to make an impact from day one. CAPACITI’s training programmes offer internationally certified courses in Cloud Computing, Software Development and Architecture, IT Operations and Support, Data Analytics, and Cybersecurity. Courses are designed for hands-on learning and include a comprehensive career immersion program to prepare candidates for both technical and professional success.
